Several parts of Nova Scotia are under a heat warning on Tuesday.
Environment Canada has issued the alert for Annapolis, Hants, Kings, Pictou, as well as northern Colchester and northern Cumberland counties.
The national weather forecaster says an extended period of very warm and humid weather is expected through to Sunday.
Maximum daytime temperatures are predicted to reach 29 degrees, but feel like 35. It will be cooler along the coast. The overnight temps are expected to hover between 16-20 degrees.
The forecast says the temperatures will turn cooler over all areas later on Sunday.
Environment Canada also predicts the warnings will be extended into most other regions of Nova Scotia over the next few days.
The Halifax area is not under a heat warning, but Tuesday is expected to be a hot day in the city. The daily high is 26, but it will feel like 34. It will feel like 32 on Wednesday.
Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions could pose an elevated risk of heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
