A man has been handed a hefty fine for holding a party despite COVID-19 restrictions in Halifax.
Police were contacted on Saturday about a social gathering at a home, which was over the group gathering limit.
Under Phase 4 of Nova Scotia’s reopening plan, 25 people can hang out for informal gatherings held indoors without social distancing or wearing a mask.
The limit is fifty outside.
The man was given a more than $2,400 ticket under the Health Protection Act.
