Elections Nova Scotia says the tallying of the ballots has picked back up in the six electoral districts after counting was put on pause during election night.
They had to suspend the count due to the number of ballots and limited staffing.
The districts include Argyle, Cumberland North, Dartmouth South, Halifax Atlantic, Halifax Chebucto, and Halifax-Citadel-Sable Island.
Elections Nova Scotia says two of those districts have now posted unofficial results – Argyle and Halifax Atlantic.
The 22 completed polls for Argyle show the elected candidate as PC Colton Leblanc with 82.35% of the vote.
The 36 polls for Halifax Atlantic have Liberal Brendan Maguire as the elected candidate at 55.22% support.
The unofficial results for the 51 electoral districts that have reported for the 41st provincial general election are as follows:
- Atlantica: 0 Electoral Districts
- Green Party: 0 Electoral Districts
- Liberal: 17 Electoral Districts (including Halifax Atlantic – reported this morning)
- NDP: 3 Electoral Districts (leading in 3 remaining – Dartmouth South, Halifax Chebucto, and Halifax-Citadel-Sable Island)
- PC Party: 31 Electoral Districts (including Argyle – reported this morning)
- Independent: 0 Electoral Districts (leading in 1 remaining – Cumberland North)
