Parents and students should have a better idea of what classrooms will look like when school opens in just two weeks.
Premier-designate Tim Houston and Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang are set to release the back-to-school plan on Monday.
They’re also scheduled to provide an update on Phase 5 of the province’s reopening plan.
That phase will be based on vaccination rates and includes the easing of public health restrictions and the further expanding of travel into Nova Scotia.
Premier Iain Rankin has also been invited to attend. The news conference is set for 3 p.m.
Meantime, the provincial state of emergency was extended on Friday.
It will continue until at least September 5th. The first day of school is September 7th.
