Heidi Klum sparked a LOT of controversy when she revealed that this was her go-to recipe when it came to eating spaghetti.
But, as far as she’s concerned, people need to chill:
If you’re as intrigued as I was, I am sorry to tell you that Heidi never posted her actual recipe. BUT a quick google search showed a number of fried spaghetti options! Here are the ingredients I used, and steps I followed, to make the pasta in my video:
INGREDIENTS
- Salt
- ½ pound spaghetti
- 6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil or lard (I used olive oil and butter)
- 2 large cloves garlic, lightly smashed and peeled
- 4 eggs (I used two, but would recommend using 4!)
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Freshly grated Parmesan or pecorino cheese, optional
- KETCHUP!
- I added scallions to the recipe because I felt like being fancy
PREPARATION
- Bring pot of water to a boil, and cook pasta as per directions on box.
- Chop garlic and scallions, and toss with oil in a pan over medium-low heat.
- Fry the eggs gently in the oil, until the whites are just about set and the yolks still quite runny. Drain the pasta, and toss with the eggs and oil, breaking up the whites as you do. (The eggs will finish cooking in the heat of the pasta.)
- Sprinkle parmesan cheese over top, and after you plate your pasta add as much ketchup as you want! I didn’t think I would enjoy the ketchup, but it was actually quite good!!
