Nova Scotia Community College is joining the list of schools requiring mandatory COVID-19 vaccination for the fall semester.
NSCC has posted a message to its website to announce all students and employees will have to be fully vaccinated by October 12th.
Those who have not had both shots will need to be tested twice a week and continue to wear a mask. The school says proof of vaccination will be required.
Officials are working to finalize the details around privacy and record submission. NSCC adds more information will be delivered to students and employees this week.
Meantime, Mount Saint Vincent University issued a statement on Monday announcing students and staff heading to campus will need to be fully vaccinated this fall.
Anyone who is not vaccinated will have to undergo COVID-19 testing twice a week. The school will require proof of vaccination, and it’s continuing to work out the protocols.
SMU has made it a requirement for students living in residence or participating in varsity and club sports as well as for staff in the Department of Athletics and Recreation.
Cape Breton University is requiring all students living in residence be fully immunized.
