Public Health is out with a potential COVID-19 exposure list for locations in the Northern and Eastern zones, and on one Air Canada flight.
Anyone who worked at or visited the following locations on the specified dates and times should book a COVID-19 test, regardless of whether or not they have symptoms.
You can also call 811 if you don’t have online access, or if you have other symptoms that concern you.
Low Risk Exposure:
For the following location, if you do not have any symptoms of COVID-19 you do not need to self-isolate while you wait for your test result.
If you have symptoms you are required to self-isolate while you wait for your result.
- The Brixton Beer Garden (115 Commercial Street, Glace Bay) on August 23 between 7:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, September 6.
Moderate Risk Exposures:
Regardless of whether or not you have COVID-19 symptoms, those present at the following locations on the named dates and times for at least 15 minutes are required to follow the self-isolation instructions noted in this table for a moderate risk exposure, based on your vaccination status.
COVID-19 testing is also recommended and if you get a positive result, you will be contacted by Public Health about what to do next.
- The Nook and Cranny Restaurant (627 Prince Street, Truro) on August 21 between 2:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, September 4.
- Smitty’s Family Restaurant (64 Robie Street, Truro) on August 22 between 10:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, September 5.
- Flavour 19 (1225 Grand Lake Road, Sydney) on August 22 between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, September 5.
- Chicken Shack (295 Commercial Street, Glace Bay) on August 23 between 12:15 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, September 6.
- Sandbar Restaurant (117 Mitchell Avenue, Dominion) on August 23 between 6:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, September 6.
High Risk Exposures:
Anyone who was on the following flight in the specified rows and seats are required to follow the isolation and testing instructions in this table as a high risk contact.
- Air Canada 604 travelling on August 23 from Toronto (9:30 a.m.) to Halifax (12:00 p.m.). Passengers in rows 17 to 23, seats A, C and D. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus on this flight on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, September 6.
