The remains of Hurricane Ida dumped heavy rain and brought strong winds to Nova Scotia on Thursday.
Environment Canada tracked the storm and found the Halifax area only got soaked with about 23 mm of rain, but it saw heavy winds.
Gusts reached 83 km per hour at the Bedford Basin and 81 at the Halifax airport.

Meantime, the highest rainfall amounts were captured close to the Bay of Fundy. Brier Island was hit with 125 mm and Nappan saw 81.7 mm.
Kentville recorded 76.7 mm.
