Despite some reservations about how restrictions are being handled in schools, teachers are happy to be back.
Paul Wozney, President of the Nova Scotia Teachers’ Union, said they’re looking forward to getting back to something near normal.
“Teachers are thrilled to not be teaching under the same grave restrictions that they faced last year.”
Wozney said last year was hard and students and teachers.
He said the restriction made it a challenge to teach effectively.
“They kinda have the full slate of tools and strategies that they rely on to hep student thrive and that’s huge,” he said.
Wozney said he’s wishing everyone the best of luck for the school year.
