Halifax Police have charged a 26-year-old man after a robbery at a Bedford business on Tuesday.
Police were called to Civic Pride on Bluewater Road at around 4:30 p.m. after an argument broke out between a man and an employee.
They say the man threatened the employee, hit him with a weapon, and then ran off.
The employee was treated at the scene by EHS for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police arrested the suspect on Pockwock Road and seized an airsoft pistol from the vehicle.
Nima Seyed Tabatabaei is facing a long list of charges including the following:
- Attempted robbery
- Assault with a weapon
- Pointing a firearm
- Use of an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence
- Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace
- Carrying a concealed weapon
- Uttering threats
- Dangerous operation of a conveyance
- Flight from a police officer
He was set to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on Wednesday.
