Nova Scotia is poised to enter Phase 5 of its reopening plan in a week, but not enough people have rolled up their sleeves twice yet.
Right now nearly 72 per cent of Nova Scotians are double-vaxxed, so that means roughly 15,000 more people need to get their second shot.
Health officials have said we can’t enter the next phase, which would see pretty much all COVID restrictions dropped, until we reach at least 75 per cent.
This comes as the province reported 29 new COVID cases over the long weekend.
Dr. Robert Strang and Premier Tim Houston will provide an update at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
