Yesterday’s heavy rain did not dampen the spirits of dozens of men putting on a pair of red high heels in support of “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” for Alice House.
I was there to participate in the event on the Halifax Oval that raised money for Alice House who provide safe second-stage housing and supportive counselling for women and children in Nova Scotia.
For me it was the first time ever in red pumps. I’m use to flying around the Oval in a pair of skates, not red pumps, so this was a challenge!

It was a fun event to turn the spotlight on a serious topic.
