Halifax Regional Police continue to search for a wanted man from the Halifax area who disappeared a year ago.
The family of Ryan James Jessop have not heard from him since September 2020.
Police say no one has, adding his once active social media accounts have also gone silent.
The Upper Sackville man was last seen in Dartmouth Crossing on the evening of September 27th.
Jessop is wanted on a provincewide warrant connected to a break and enter and assault in Cole Harbour. He’s facing several related charges including:
- Assault causing bodily harm
- Break and enter
- Mischief
- Choking to overcome
- Breach of probation (three counts)
- Breach of court order (two counts)
Jessop is described as white, 5’10”, 175 lbs. with dark brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue track suit and a black puffy Guess vest.
Investigators believe there are people who have information on his disappearance, which could lead to arrests and charges.
They’re encouraging them to come forward.
The case is part of the province’s Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program, which offers up to $150,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in specific unsolved crimes.
