Drop-in COVID-19 testing is being offered in Halifax this week.
Public Health says the free PCR COVID-19 testing will be available at its mobile unit for all ages.
Youth between the ages of 4 and 18 can take the swish and gargle test.
You can stop by for a test if you have symptoms or not, have been to a potential exposure site, or you’ve been identified as a close contact.
The mobile unit will be at Clayton Park Junior High at 45 Plateau Crescent in Halifax Tuesday through Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Details for all upcoming Public Health Mobile Unit locations can be found online.
Important notes when visiting the mobile unit:
• Unless you have symptoms, you do not need to self-isolate while you wait for your results, unless directly advised by Public Health to isolate.
• The testing method is standard PCR swab or Swish and Gargle for children and youth. Preparation is required for gargle testing. View instructions.
• Please bring your health card with you, if you have one.
• When testing is offered outside, please dress accordingly.
