Nova Scotia is reporting 40 new cases of COVID-19 and 22 recoveries.
Thirty-four of those cases have been identified in the Halifax area.
Health officials say there is still community spread in the region, primarily among people aged 20 to 40 who are unvaccinated and participating in social activities.
A school was notified of an exposure on October 4th.
Public Health says an exposure does not mean there is spread within the school or that the initial case was first exposed to the virus in the school.
The province posts its exposure notices for schools everyday online.
Four cases have been identified in the Western Zone, and two cases in the Northern region.
Province-wide, we have 248 active cases. Seventeen people are in hospital, including four in ICU.
