An inmate who has been on the run since September is now back in police custody.
Halifax Regional Police say the second of two men who escaped from the Burnside jail on September 23rd has been arrested.
31-year-old Thomas Joseph Smith was spotted by investigators near Rosedale Avenue and Ropewalk Lane in Dartmouth at around 10 p.m. on Saturday.

Police say he tried to run away, but was arrested nearby in the area of Elmwood Avenue and Wyse Road.
Police expect charges will be laid.
28-year-old Chad Stephen Clarke was arrested on October 4th in Halifax.
