Canadians 18 and up are now eligible for booster vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech.
Those who’ve already had their two main shots will be able to get the booster as long as it’s been six months since their second dose.
Health Canada is also recommending that those who received the Astra Zeneca vaccine get a booster shot as well.
National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) does say that unless you’re in a high-risk group, it’s unlikely that you’ll need to get a third dose.
Nova Scotia is currently rolling out third doses to seniors, front-line healthcare workers, and those who received AstraZeneca.
