If you have red yarn and a pair of knitting needles a local organization could use your help.
The Aids Coalition of Nova Scotia is collecting red scarves to mark World Aids Day on December 1st.
It’s the first time our city will be taking part in the Red Scarf Project.
The scarves will be tied around lamp posts, trees, and fences to represent the coalition’s red ribbon, which is the international symbol of HIV awareness.
They will also be free to take for anyone who needs one.
All scarves will need to be dropped off to the coalition at its location on Spring Garden Road by 2 p.m. on November 26th.
