Nova Scotians awoke to a winter wonderland on Thursday.
A messy storm dumped more than 30 cm of snow in the Halifax area.
The snowfall warning was called off late in the morning, but closures, cancellations, and delays persist due to the weather conditions.
Crews are working to clean up slick streets and sidewalks.
Halifax Transit says its services will resume at noon, including buses, Access-A-Bus, and ferry. They will operate on a snow plan.
All HRCE schools are closed. Many university and college campuses are closed or have delayed their openings.
Warming centres will be open on Thursday to help residents in need of a safe space to wait out the storm.
