UPDATE: 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 21st
Nova Scotia is under a special weather statement ahead of “significant rainfall” this week.
Environment Canada is calling for up to 25 mm of rain for the Halifax region.
Winds could gust at more than 80 km per hour over Eastern Nova Scotia.
“Rain is expected to spread from west to east across the province Wednesday afternoon,” the weather statement says. “Precipitation may begin as a brief period of snow or freezing rain over parts of the northern mainland and Cape Breton before changing over to rain.”
The messy weather is set to kick off tomorrow afternoon, persisting into Thursday morning.
