A panic alarm at a convenience store alerted police to an overnight robbery in Halifax.
Halifax Regional Police arrived at the Needs on Chebucto Road just after 2 a.m.
Police say two men threatened an employee, but no one was hurt. The men took off with some cash and cigarettes.
They were last seen running down Windsor Street towards Quinpool Road.
The first suspect is described as a white male, wearing a black jacket, white and black plaid hat, blue jeans, and white sneakers.
The second suspect is described as a white male, wearing a red sweater with hood, black jacket, white face mask, navy sweat pants, and black sneakers with white soles
