The search is on for a suspect after a car was stolen at knifepoint in downtown Halifax on Tuesday night.
Halifax Regional Police were called to a robbery in the 1500 block of Lower Water Street, near Salter Street, shortly before 7:30 p.m.
They say a man armed with a knife approached the victim and stole their car, which is described as a gold-colored 2009 Toyota Camry with the Nova Scotia license plate GML055.
The suspect is described as a dark-skinned male, with dark-coloured hair and eyes.
The vehicle was last seen crossing the MacDonald Bridge, heading to Dartmouth.
Police say the suspect refused to stop for them and they had to call off the chase due to public safety reasons.
