Many athletes want to know when they’ll be able to play organized games again.
Premier Tim Houston shed some light on this during yesterday’s briefing.
He says the province is looking to soon relax some restrictions around sports, arts and culture.
“And have sports teams be able to resume full practices, with no fans, around February 7th,” said Houston.
He says they’re hoping to give the green light to games, recitals and competitions by February 14th, still possibly with no fans.
The Premier cautioned that this is dependent on the number of hospitalizations due to the Omicron wave of COVID-19.
