A 45-year-old Hammonds Plains man has been charged with human trafficking offences.
The Mounties say Kenneth Daniel Norton was arrested on Wednesday after an investigation was launched in late October.
He’s facing several charges including two counts of trafficking in persons and one count each of uttering threats, assault, assault with a weapon, and sexual assault.
The Mounties say the victim has been offered support.
Norton was scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on Friday.
The Nova Scotia Provincial Human Trafficking Unit led the investigation and was assisted by Halifax District RCMP.
