A teen has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in the city.
Halifax Regional Police were called to the incident near the Lions Wave Pool on Sussex Street at around 4 p.m. on Thursday.
They describe the 16-year-old’s injuries as non-life-threatening.
The suspect has been identified as a white man, wearing a black puffy jacket with a hood, and a black face mask.
Police said there was no immediate threat to the public but asked residents to remain away from the 400 block of Herring Cove Road while they investigated.
