Local testing by the RCMP has confirmed the presence of a substance on suspicious packages sent to constituency offices across the province over the past two weeks.
However, they say it does not contain any chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or explosive agents.
The packages are being sent for further testing at an RCMP Laboratory in Edmonton.
Meanwhile, five more packages have been sent to Provincial Constituency Offices in Southwestern Nova Scotia.
The RCMP confirm packages were received at offices in Meteghan, Liverpool, Yarmouth, Kentville and Kingston.
The packages were all seized by police and no one experienced an adverse reaction.
