The Canadian Football League is returning to Nova Scotia this summer, but not to Halifax.
Sources say the game will be played down in the Valley at Acadia University, home of the Axemen on Raymond Field.
The stadium normally holds 3000 fans but will be expanded to hold 10,000 fans to see the regular season matchup between the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Toronto Argonauts on Saturday, July 16th.
It will be a huge boost to the local economy in Wolfville that has struggled the past two years during the pandemic.

This will be the league’s first game back in Atlantic Canada in three years.
The CFL’s 2020 edition of Touchdown Atlantic in Halifax between the Toronto Argonauts and Saskatchewan Roughriders was cancelled – along with the entire season – due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
It’ll be the fourth Touchdown Atlantic appearance for the Argos, who played in the inaugural contest – a 16-16 exhibition tie with Hamilton in 2005.
I’ll never forget the fog that rolled in just before kick-off as I was playing the music for the games soundtrack.
It’ll be great to have the CFL back in Nova Scotia!
