Halifax Regional Police say a man is in stable condition after a stabbing in the city on Monday night.
Police reported they were called to Barrington Street shortly before 9 p.m.
The man, who is in his 40s, was taken to hospital where he had surgery.
Police closed the area around the scene to pedestrians while they processed it.
Few details are known about the suspect. He’s described as white and believed to be in his early to mid-’40s.
Investigators asked anyone with information about the incident or video from the area to call 902-490-5020.
