The Halifax Mooseheads will face the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in Round 1 of the QMJHL President Cup Playoffs.
Halifax’s first round opponent will come into the postseason on a bit of a cold streak.
Acadie-Bathurst lost 10-2 to Charlottetown on the final day of the season Sunday and dropped six of their last eight games overall.
The Mooseheads held a 4-5 record against the Titan in the regular season which included a 6-2 victory in their most recent meeting late last month at the K.C. Irving Regional Centre. That will be the site for games 1 & 2 of the playoffs in the best of five series starting this Thursday, May 5th and Friday, May 6th in Bathurst, New Brunswick.
Games 3 and 4 (if necessary) will be next Monday May 9th and Wednesday, May 11th sandwiching the ZZ Top rock concert at the Scotiabank Centre.
