The city has announced it will launch free fare Fridays and Free sail Saturdays this summer to help businesses with their pandemic recovery.
Halifax Transit service will be free of charge all day every Friday for the conventional bus, Access-A-Bus, regional express service, and the ferry.
The Alderney ferry will be free every Saturday.

The municipality says the goal is to help businesses with their recovery from the pandemic along with making it easier for visitors to stop by local shops and restaurants.
The program runs from Friday, July 1st to Wednesday, August 31st.
