I found this June 11th, 2005 CFL Touchdown Atlantic t-shirt at Value Village last week with the original $29.99 price tags still on it! I paid $14.99…

I worked that CFL game putting the soundtrack to the sold-out St. Mary’s Stadium 17 years ago this past weekend, working along side Tim Micallef now of Tim and Friends on Sportsnet who that night was doing Toronto radio play-by-play.
On my other side in the SMU Press Box was legendary Toronto Argonauts Public Address Announcer the late great Marc Chambers who also was my Game Producer telling me when to play the music tracks while he announced the game using binoculars!

Due to limited parking, my wife Roxanne dropped me off at 4pm for the pregame rehearsal at SMU and it was sunny and hot.
When she turned the game on at 7pm on TSN the Halifax fog rolled in and it was hard to see the field!
The 10,000 plus fans saw the Argos and Hamilton Tiger Cats play to a 16-16 preseason game tie.
I got to meet a lot of great TSN sportscasters that night like Chris Cuthbert who called the game with Matt Dunigan and the late Chris Schultz, all class acts.
Chris Cuthbert found out I worked for the Halifax Mooseheads and knew everything about the team! He said to say “Hi” to our majority owner Bobby Smith.
I ran out of “film” that night or else there would be pics, we didn’t have a cameras in our pockets 17 years ago like we do today.

It was a night to remember in Halifax and so cool to find this brand new tags on 2005 t-shirt here in 2022!

The Valley gets to host the CFL next month at Acadia University in Wolfville.
