Tim Houston is Canada’s most approved-of premier.
That’s according to a new Angus Reid poll which shows the Nova Scotia premier has an approval rating of 62 percent.
However, support for him appears to be cooling down as we head into the summer.
The pollster says his approval rating saw the biggest drop amongst provincial leaders over the last three months at 11 points.

Angus Reid attributes the slight decline to his government’s recent decision to scrap a proposed non-resident property tax just over a month after it was introduced.
“It appears Houston has suffered little from a recent policy reversal which saw his government scrap a proposed non-resident property tax just over a month after it was introduced,” the pollster says. “While the measure would have raised $65-million in taxes, Nova Scotians were quick to criticize the tax as ‘punitive’ to non-residents and ‘un-Canadian’.”
Meantime, Manitoba’s Heather Stefanson secured the bottom spot at 23 percent approval.
Angus Reid adds the issue of rising inflation is putting pressure on support for premiers across the country.
