Halifax Regional Police say an 83-year-old woman was hit in a crosswalk last week after the driver failed to stop.
Officers were called to the intersection of Hollis Street and Terminal Road at around 2 p.m. on Friday.
Police say a transport truck hit the woman who was riding a mobility scooter.
She was taken to the hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.
The 53-year-old man driving the truck was charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk and failing to stop at a stop sign.
