It was a game I’ll be telling my grandkids about, last night Team Canada beat Team Slovakia 4-3 in overtime!
Canada’s Connor Bedard made magic happen scoring the opening goal of the game and the OT winner in front of a sold out Halifax crowd of 10,349.
It was great to see the Canadian flag surfing above the fans in the pregame.
After the game downtown Halifax at Brunswick and Duke was electrifying as fans were cheering and car horns blared in celebration, it reminded me of May 10th, 2013 the night the Halifax Mooseheads won the QMJHL President Cup on home ice. One car was playing the Fables “Heave Away” the Team Canada goal scoring song!
Here a few pictures I took from Section 10 last night with my son Drake.
