On Saturday during “Hockey Fights Cancer Night” the Halifax Mooseheads honoured their long-time Office Manager of 20 years Sharon MacDonald.
Sharon MacDonald was a familiar face to many fans and players in Moose Country and an integral part of the business staff until retirement last year.
Sharon recently found herself in the biggest battle of her life when she was diagnosed with breast cancer last fall. The Mooseheads are excited to say that following successful surgery, she is now on the road to recovery!
During the ceremonial puck drop that I announced, Mooseheads fans gave Sharon a huge thunderous long round of applause!

Here are a few pictures from the special night:

On a personal note, Sharon was always great to my sons Drake and Trent growing up around the Mooseheads office and was there to help me when I broke the photocopy machine on game days.

The Mooseheads got the win for Sharon beating the Cape Breton Eagles 4-1 here in Moose Country!
The team wore purple jerseys that are being auctioned off to help kids with cancer, for more on jersey bids click HERE.

The Herd’s also blanked Bathurst Sunday afternoon here in Moose Country and are now unbeaten in regulation for 2 games with a franchise record of now 19-0-2 and have not lost since November 27th.
Keep winning your battle Sharon and Go Moose Go!
