The Moose Country pipeline to the NHL continues!
Yesterday Halifax Mooseheads forward Alex Doucet signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Detroit Red Wings as an undrafted free agent.
The 21-year-old from Sherbrooke, QC has enjoyed a fantastic season split between the Mooseheads and Val d’Or Foreurs with a QMJHL-leading 45 goals to go along with 89 points.
Alex has scored 18 goals and 18 assists in just 24 games with the Mooseheads since being acquired at the deadline from the Foreurs on December 21st after spending parts of five seasons in Val d’Or.
The left-shooting, right winger sits fifth in QMJHL scoring.
Alex will join the Red Wings organization in the offseason and follows in a very long list of Halifax Mooseheads players who have turned pro!
