Environment Canada has issued special weather statements for much of the Maritimes.
Heavy rain and strong winds are anticipated this weekend due to an intense low-pressure system expected to interact with Tropical Storm Philippe.
Maximum wind gusts are likely up to 80 km/h or stronger and we could get possibly 50 millimetres of rainfall or more.
The rain will begin Saturday afternoon or night and end early Sunday morning or afternoon, depending on where you are.
