Four of your Halifax Mooseheads have been named to Canada’s 2024 World Junior Selection Camp Roster.
The camp opens this Sunday and runs until next Wednesday, December 13th in Oakville, Ontario, just outside of Toronto.
The four Herd players include forwards Jordan Dumais and Markus Vidicek, defenceman Jake Furlong from Tantallon, NS plus goaltender Mathis Rousseau. They are the only players selected from all of the Maritime QMJHL teams.
TSN hockey insiders Bob McKenzie and Craig Button predict that Mathis will be the starting goalie from Team Canada at the World Juniors in Gothenburg, Sweden when the puck drops on Boxing Day!

The four Mooseheads players will depart the Herd after playing games this Thursday at home with Drummondville here Thursday night and Gatineau in Moose Country on Friday night for the first-ever “Toque Toss Game” in support of HRM Homeless Shelters.
After the Moose score their first goal of the game, fans can throw their toques or glove sets on the ice.
It was year ago that Halifax hosted the Worlds when the city was rockin’!
Good luck to all from Hot Country and Moose Country!
