The Halifax Thunderbirds will have a new Canadian opponent in the National Lacrosse League to play next season.
The New York Riptide will be relocating to the nation’s capital and become known as the Ottawa Black Bears.
The Black Bears will play out of the Canadian Tire Centre, the home of the National Hockey League’s Ottawa Senators starting this December and will become the NLL’s sixth Canadian franchise, joining the Calgary Roughnecks, Saskatchewan Rush, Toronto Rock, Vancouver Warriors and your Halifax Thunderbirds!
