Happy 29th birthday today to my buddy Tyler Long who is the Halifax Mooseheads Assistant Equipment Manager.
He can be seen on game days helping the team get ready here in Moose Country filling water bottles, getting towels ready and so much more.
Tyler has been a huge part of the team since he joined us seven years ago. He and his mom Joanne can be found at the Midtown Tavern across from the rink on game days before his job starts with the Mooseheads.
After his pregame duties are done, Tyler can be seen and heard cheering on The Herd from Section 8 behind the penalty box area where I announce the Moose games from.

I miss him when he’s not at the games, which is rare, for our pre-game high five tradition by the dressing room.
(Above: “Coach Tyler” sits behind us in the booth in Section 8. When he’s not there, which is rare, it’s not the same at the games. He’s rep’ing the Halifax Citadels colours from our tribute night.)
Happy 29th birthday to “Big W Tyler” Moose Country loves ya!
See ya soon buddy in the QMJHL playoffs starting Friday, March 29th against Bathurst.
