The SEDMHA (South East Dartmouth Minor Hockey Association) Hockey tournament kicks off today!
Hundreds of hockey players will be keeping local rinks busy with games played over the next few days.
SEDMHA is one of the largest minor hockey Tournaments in North America and is a terrific way to close out the minor hockey season.
The tournament is held throughout Halifax, Nova Scotia using 17 different ice surfaces in Halifax, Dartmouth, Cole Harbour, Bedford, Sackville and Tantallon.

The tournament is open to minor hockey teams offering competition for U11, U13, U15 and U18 teams in various skill categories.
Teams play their first game today, Thursday, April 4th in the afternoon and evening.
Games continue through Friday and Saturday. The finals are held this Sunday, April 7.
As retired hockey parents, my wife Roxanne and I have many great memories from the SEDMHA days cheering on the boys.

SEDMHA founded in 1977 and one of the original founders was my friend, the late Bill Donnelly, who was a long-time Billet Coordinator for the Halifax Mooseheads.
This year, Drake will be a SEDMHA Referee.

Great memories and good luck to all at SEDMHA! Full details HERE.
