Stellarton, Nova Scotia’s own Blayre Turnbull made some history last night by scoring two goals in the first-ever Professional Women’s Hockey League playoff game on Wednesday.
The Toronto captains efforts helped lead her team to a 4-0 win over Minnesota in the best of five PWHL series.
Toronto played the game in front of 8,473 fans.
Toronto head coach and Spryfield native Troy Ryan felt his team met its own expectations in its biggest game of the season to date.
