Bubbles, Ricky, Julien, Randy, and cast are back as The Trailer Park Boys as they star in “Standing on the Shoulders of Kitties”
Sunnyvale’s finest reunite as the plot goes: Bubbles and his band, ‘The Sh*trockers,” are playing shows here around Nova Scotia and then a viral internet clip lands them a European tour opening for Billy Bob Thornton and the Boxmasters.
With Randy as their roadie, they head to Prague but soon get kicked off the tour, busking to survive. Can Ricky and Julian come to the rescue?
They eventually end up at Abbey Road Studios in London where the Beatles recorded some of their classics.
The film is directed by Charlie Lightening from a screenplay written by Mike Smith a.k.a Bubbles originally from New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.
The cast includes Smith, Robb Wells, JP Tremblay, Pat Roach, Ronnie Wood, Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman, and Robert Sheehan.
The movie has its red carpet debut a couple of weeks ago at Dartmouth Crossing Cineplex where the cast was on hand.
A bunch of us from Hot Country were invited, being a huge fan of the TPB’s since Day 1, I thoroughly enjoyed it, I didn’t want the movie to end. It’s hilarious!!
Some of “Standing on the Shoulders of Kitties” was shot right here in our Hot Country 1035 Dartmouth studios!
