The 61st Christmas Daddies Telethon is in the books for another year helping children and families in need around the Maritimes.
My friend Art Steeves has been at all 61 telethons starting in 1964, raising $1500. in an overnight broadcast to today where Christmas Daddies has raised over $38 million dollars and counting.
Art and his wife Verna lived many years in Timberlea, Nova Scotia before retiring up to Pictou County.
Art told Steve Murphy that he gets overwhelmed each year with the generosity of Maritimers that brings goose bumps to his arms and tears to his eyes.

For me, it’s always a highlight to have a chat with Art, thanks for all you’ve done.

On a personal note, congrats to my wife Roxanne Robinson, on her 26th Christmas Daddies Telethon as Executive Director and to our son Trent as her assistant on raising over half a million dollars to help kids and families at Christmastime.

With the shows 50/50 totaling $229,025 at midnight last night, another $$114,512 will be added to this year’s total of $674,010.68 and counting for Maritime families.
The draw is being made today, December 10th.
Plans are already underway for the 62nd annual Christmas Daddies Telethon, a Maritime tradition.
