The Rivalry Series is finally here tonight as Team Canada will face off against Team USA in Halifax at the Scotiabank Centre!
The game features the best women’s hockey players in the world.
Some of our fellow “Bluenosers” on Team Canada are Stellarton, Nova Scotia’s # 40 Blayre Turnbull.
On the bench will be Spryfield’s own Troy Ryan as the Head Coach, this will be Troy’s first-time coaching at the Scotiabank Centre.
Also on the bench will be Assistant Coach Kori Cheverie from New Glasgow.
Blayre says that about 75 family members and friends will be in the stands to cheer her on in her home province.
Team Canada leads the Rivalry Serices 2 games to 1 as the 5-game tourney shifts to here in Halifax and then Summerside, PEI this Saturday night.

Here’s a few throwback pics and some memories of the 2004 World Women’s Championship game with Canada and the USA that I announced, where Team Canada won GOLD over the US.
