This week we highlight Cayenne from the Bide Awhile Animal Shelter for Furbaby Friday on Hot Country 103.5fm.
Cayenne is a sweet and sassy 3 year old female who lives up to her name. Cayenne loves to seek out sunspots on the floor so would like a home with plenty of windows and lots of cozy blankets. She’s a big fan of cat nip and cuddles, but can easily get frustrated when the love is not reciprocated. Cayenne does not like to share attention, so will need a home with no other pets.
She can get a little mouthy due to her frustration and we are currently working with Cayenne to give her alternative outlets to express her frustration. She will be going home with behavioral activities and resources to help strengthen her ability to use appropriate behaviour when feeling overwhelmed and frustrated.
Cayenne is currently on pregabalin to help her cope with her anxieties.
