This week we highlight Neos from the Bide Awhile Animal Shelter for Furbaby Friday on Hot Country 103.5fm.
Neos is a loving and affectionate 1 year old female who has quite the story. Neos (meaning new in Greek) had a rough start to her new life.
She was left behind when her former owner moved out of their apartment. Neos was all alone – terrified, stressed, and hungry.
The landlord quickly noticed this unexpected resident and got in contact with Bide Awhile for help. The main issue was that no one could get near Neos.
She was scared and would disappear at the first sign of humans. Working with someone in the trapping community, they were able to set up a live trap with a webcam to track her routines.
After 20 days alone, numerous cans of food as bait, and a whole lot of patience, Neos was safely trapped and brought into the shelter.
After a dental surgery and routine veterinary care, Neos is now ready to get her fresh start and find a new forever family.
In the past few weeks that she’s been in Bide Awhile’s care, her personality and love towards humans has blossomed.
She’s a big fan of people and loves to be kissed on the nose.
