Our newest team, the Halifax Tides, will make their home debut on Saturday evening at 6pm.
This is our new professional women’s soccer team that will face the Calgary Wild on the same pitch as the Halifax Wanderers downtown on the Wanderers Grounds.
A special pregame ceremony is planned with “Jawslyn” the team’s mascot here to pump up the crowd.
The Halifax Tides FC are members of the Northern Super League, Canada’s first-ever professional women’s soccer league, so Saturday night will be a historic event marking the beginning of professional women’s soccer in Halifax.
Having the team here will give young local female players the dream to play professionally here in their own backyard.
