The Halifax Thunderbirds are hosting a playoff game for the first time.
Over 10,000 fans are expected at Scotiabank Centre on Saturday night, as the Thunderbirds host the Calgary Roughnecks in their National Lacrosse League quarterfinal.
The Thunderbirds moved to Halifax in the 2019-20 season, and have never held a playoff contest on their home turf.
Halifax finished third in the NLL standings with a record of 11-7, they were 6-3 at home.
Calgary was the sixth-best team at 10-8.
The winner moves on to the semifinals, which is a best two-out-of-three format.
