Pretty cool to get to meet NHL legend Larry Robinson last night at the Acadia Axemen Hockey Honour Roll Induction Ceremony at Acadia Arena in Wolfville.
The ceremony inducted Axemen legends Mark Richards, Milan Dragicevic and Jeff Mercer.

I had a little chat with Larry and he remembered Pat Connolly the legendary hockey announcer from his Nova Scotia Voyageurs days, and asked about Bobby Smith our former Halifax Mooseheads owner, they won the Stanley Cup together in 1986 with Montreal.
I gave Larry a copy of my book The Ultimate Hockey Joke Book Laugh Your Faceoff!

Larry spent 52 years in hockey winning ten Stanley Cups including six with the Habs.

The Valley’s Mae Batherson was the other special guest speaker who won the PWHL Championship with the Minnesota Frost and challenged her brother Drake Batherson to win a championship with his Ottawa Senators.

Some of the jerseys above up for auction.
Thanks to Len Hawley for the voice-over announcer assignment.
